DENTAL VENEERS
Veneers are thin, natural-looking sheets of porcelain or composite material,
which are laid over the surface of the teeth.
Veneers construction is more conservative yet a highly effective procedure,
veneers are a great way to improve the appearance of your smile.
They are one of the quickest and most dramatic ways to renovate your smile.
Veneers are used as a cosmetic treatment for various dental problems such as broken or fractured teeth,
gaps and spaces between teeth, crooked and misshapen teeth, unsightly old fillings,
and yellow, discolored, or permanently stained teeth.
Porcelain Veneer Laminates are thin, semi-transparent porcelain "shells" that are bonded to your teeth.
These veneers precisely can be matched to the color and contour of your teeth to give you a healthy,
natural and beautiful smile.
Porcelain Veneers can last for years and will also strengthen a tooth, they are stronger and stain-resistant
compared to Composite Veneers.
The dentist takes an impression of the tooth and sends it to the dental lab for fabrication of the veneer,
usually after the front of the tooth has been reduced.
The veneer will then be bonded to your tooth using a dental bonding cement.

Composite Veneers are not as stain-resistant or fracture-resistant as Porcelain Veneers.
They can get stained over time, and possibility of fracture is higher than porcelain.
But, Composite Veneers can be easily repaired.
To help prevent stains from coming back, avoid smoking, coffee, tea, red wine and heavily coloured foods.
And brush your teeth twice a day with a whitening toothpaste.
